Terms of Service

Effective 17 October 2026 · RidePool is operated by Logybyte ("we", "us").

1. What RidePool is

RidePool is a platform that helps private individuals share journeys they are already making and split the running costs. We do not provide transport, employ drivers or own vehicles. Each ride is an arrangement between the driver and the passengers.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement.
Keep your login details secure and your profile accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Drivers

Hold a valid driving licence and keep the vehicle registered, insured, roadworthy and with a valid PUC certificate.
Follow all traffic laws, including passenger limits under the Motor Vehicles Act (a two-wheeler carries at most one pillion passenger).
Only offer cost-sharing for a trip you are making anyway. The price must not exceed your share of the actual costs (fuel, tolls); RidePool must not be used to run a commercial taxi service.
Publish accurate route, time, seat and vehicle details and honour confirmed bookings.

4. Passengers

Be on time at the agreed pickup point and respect the driver's vehicle and ride preferences.
Pay the agreed cost-share directly to the driver.

5. Payments

Booking through RidePool is free. Cost-share amounts are paid directly between passengers and drivers (for example in cash or by UPI). RidePool does not process, hold or guarantee these payments and is not party to any dispute about them.

6. Cancellations

Passengers and drivers can cancel in the app; the other party is notified. Please cancel as early as possible. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may lead to account suspension.

7. Safety

Verification badges show that we reviewed the details a user submitted; they are not a guarantee of a person's conduct. Use your judgement, share your trip with trusted contacts, and in an emergency call 112. The in-app SOS feature depends on your device, network and contacts and may not always work.

8. Prohibited conduct

No harassment, discrimination, unsafe driving, carrying illegal items, impersonation, fake listings, or misuse of other users' contact details. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, RidePool is provided "as is" and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of drivers or passengers, for accidents, loss or damage during a ride, or for payments between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or the law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have.
